In April 2024, our company visited the largest European exhibition of textile materials and technologies Techtextil/Texprocess 2024 in Frankfurt.

The purpose of the visit to the exhibition was to research the technical hemp market, as well as to meet with potential customers and partners.

At the exhibition, during the Ukrainian Textile & Clothing industry for EU business meeting, the Ma’Rijany Hemp Company project was presented for the first time. Andriy Mykytiv, co-investor and CEO, told the European and Ukrainian partners in detail about the project initiative for the development of sustainable production – Ma’Rijany Hemp Company, a company focused on the production of high-quality long hemp fiber for the textile industry. The presentation of our project aroused interest from our partners.

In addition, meetings and communication during the exhibition gave us some insights:

– There is a shortage of natural eco-friendly fibers in the world. Over the past 20 years, the total consumption of fibers has almost doubled, while the production of natural plant fibers has hardly changed, and for some types it has even decreased.

– There is considerable interest in our products from the textile industry and biocomposite manufacturers. At the same time, despite the fact that manufacturers recognize the future of hemp fiber, there is a very small supply of high-quality hemp fiber on the market, which does not allow hemp to expand its penetration into various segments of the textile market.

– We saw a significant number of companies and research organizations involved in studying the use of industrial hemp in dozens of different areas and directions.

Ukrainian hemp fiber is the raw material that the European textile market is waiting for. Therefore, in the future, our company will make a significant contribution to the supply of long hemp fiber for the textile industry in Europe.
