Recently, our company hosted a series of guided visits. From touring the production facilities to joining the industrial hemp harvest of the 2025 season. We welcomed government, business, and international representatives to see the modern revival of Ukrainian hemp production.

Parliament’s Perspective: Reviving an Entire Industry

Dmytro Kisylevskyi, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development, emphasized the strategic importance of our project:

“Ma’Rijany Industrial Park is launching the revival of an entire sector of Ukraine’s economy… Centuries-old traditions of Ukrainian hemp cultivation are being revived after decades of neglect and prohibition. The ban was lifted by the Verkhovna Rada in December 2023 — and we already see the first tangible results.”

He noted that the park is actively working with farmers in Zhytomyr region, offering long-term contracts and a promising sales market. The new plant’s capacity allows processing over 10,000 tons of agricultural raw materials annually, with plans to expand cultivation to 4,000 hectares and increase processing to 20,000 tons.

Ministry of Economy’s View: Industrial Parks as Economic Drivers

Vitalii Kindrativ, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, highlighted the uniqueness of the enterprise:

“This is the only plant in Ukraine of such scale and technological level… It produces long fiber for the textile industry, short fiber for paper, insulation, and nonwoven materials, and shives used for bioplastics and construction materials.”

According to him, in 2025, 1,200 hectares were sown with hemp — the largest area in Central and Eastern Europe. This integrated approach is an example of how industrial parks can create jobs, develop processing, and form new production ecosystems.

Regional Support: Innovation Meets Science

Head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration Vitalii Bunechko focused on the combination of innovation and expertise:

“Ma’Rijany is a modern approach that combines innovation and decades of experience. The company is actively engaged in breeding, developing new varieties of industrial hemp that yield significantly more raw material for processing.”

He especially noted the work of Iryna Laiko, a renowned breeder with 45 years of experience. She joined our team and works at the Research Institute for the Development of Technical Crops within the Industrial Park.

SUP Entrepreneurs’ Visit: Exchange of Experience and Inspiration

Members of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP) visited our facilities as part of the Company Visit program. Co-founder and CEO Andriy Mykytiv, together with Deputy Director Alexandra Fidkevich and gave a tour, shared the company’s founding story, and demonstrated the harvesting process using Hyler mowers.

Guests also visited our laboratory, where we develop new hemp varieties with minimal THC content and improved fiber quality.

As a keepsake, each guest received a handmade souvenir — a horse figurine woven from hemp fiber by our employee Iryna. One of the feedback messages after the visit read:

“Thank you so much for the tour. The participants were thrilled — your sincerity, openness, and story are both inspiring and impressive.”

Ma’Rijany Industrial Park continues to welcome partners, investors, and visitors, proving that modern Ukrainian hemp cultivation means innovation, sustainability, and economic growth.
