Ukrainian Expertise at EIHA Conference 2025
Ma’Rijany Hemp Company took part in the 22nd Annual Conference of the European Industrial Hemp Association (EIHA Conference 2025), held in Berlin. The event gathered leading market players, industry experts, and equipment manufacturers working in the textile, food, medical, and other sectors that utilize innovative hemp-based products. This year, Ma’Rijany Hemp Company was the only representative from Ukraine at the event.

Global Trends and Industry Challenges
Over the course of three days, participants discussed the key challenges and emerging trends in the industrial hemp sector. The program covered a broad range of topics. These included seed breeding, agronomy, and innovations in textile production. Other key areas were the use of hemp in construction, the bioeconomy, and CBD product manufacturing. Special attention was given to new regulatory approaches within the EU, international cooperation, and the prospects for integrating producers from various countries into a unified ecosystem.
Showcasing Ukraine’s Experience: Ma’Rijany at the Conference
The company was represented by Andriy Mykytiv, co-founder and director of Ma’Rijany Hemp Company. His presentation focused on Ukraine’s experience in rebuilding the industrial hemp value chain, which had collapsed in the 1990s.
He talked about building a completely new and connected ecosystem in Ukraine. It starts with seed breeding and cultivation. Then it continues with primary processing and the production of goods for the textile, construction, and furniture industries.
“By covering all key production stages, we as a manufacturer and supplier can guarantee international clients and partners high-quality hemp fiber at a competitive price,” — emphasized Andriy Mykytiv.

Industrial Park as a Model for Development
In addition, key focus of the presentation was the development of the Ma’Rijany Industrial Park, designed specifically for enterprises working with hemp raw materials. In Ukraine, this model provides residents with logistics advantages, reduces the need for working capital, and lowers overhead costs. The park’s ready infrastructure and existing tax incentives help investors launch projects faster and at a lower cost.
“I focused heavily on promoting our industrial park and inviting residents from other countries to join. I believe this is especially important right now to strengthen Ukraine’s economy,” — added Mykytiv.

Ukrainian Seeds: A New Export Opportunity
One of the most notable takeaways from the conference was the high interest of international participants in Ukrainian-bred hemp seeds. This niche has the potential to become a strategic export direction for Ukraine in the coming years. Currently, Ma’Rijany Hemp Company is exploring opportunities to enter international markets with its own seed solutions.
Ma’Rijany Hemp Company is a driver of change and a voice for Ukraine in Europe for hemp industry
Participation in the conference provided the company with a valuable opportunity to showcase Ukrainian expertise. Furthermore, it allowed Ma’Rijany Hemp Company to expand its international network and gain up-to-date insights into global industrial hemp trends. The event confirmed that the company is helping to revive the hemp industry in Ukraine and is becoming an important player in the European market.
